The Burning Barrel Sauvignon Blanc 2022

Sometimes, rules are merely guidelines for life and wine. We are all for letting those guidelines steer us into the unknown and on a path of adventure. So what happens when four wine enthusiasts decide to make wine? Just four friends - one a recently qualified winemaker, one a distiller, one a mad (and luckily) experienced winemaker, and also a wine trader - with a blurry, yet brilliant vision? On a rather unplanned evening, ideas flowed around a bonfire, which led to curiosity regarding a burning dog kennel. That turned to the possibility of burning a barrel on a bonfire. And, like a phoenix from the ashes, the Burning Barrel was born. We veered off the beaten track to create vibrant wines with attitude aplenty.

To be enjoyed on a quiet Sunday around the pool, or on a Friday night around a bonfire, paired best with good friends.
